We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Financial Accounting Analyst to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Financial Accounting Analyst at Tomsons, you will play a vital role in our accounting and finance organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and performance of our legal entities in the Americas, including trading, renewable asset, and service companies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor and improve financial controls, and you will support investment and deal teams in new business integration and sales processes. In addition, you will perform monthly and quarterly analyses, which will be reviewed by the CEO and Senior Management team to aid in decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and monitor/improve financial controls
• Support investment and deal teams in new business integration and/or sales processes
• Perform the accounting month-end close processes for various legal entities
• Perform monthly/quarterly analyses to be reviewed by the CEO and Senior Management team to aid in decision making
• Support the annual external audit process
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5-6 years of financial reporting/audit experience is strongly preferred
• A CPA license is strongly preferred
• Exposure to commodities trading is preferred
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
